It has been said that this is the best beach on the island, where you can spot the endangered loggerhead turtle. Travelling down a steep road, which then leads to low cliffs, you will find a beautiful crescent of golden sand. There are no water sports here, it is a tranquil location for those wanting to take in the gorgeous views, especially that of the island Marathonisi, which is truly magnificent.

This beach has to be on your list of places to visit whilst in Zante. The beach is only accessible by boat and is home to famous shipwreck. This is a place of beauty, so don’t forget to take your camera! One thing to note is that the water is rather chilly, but the cliffs and the atmosphere of the area will more than make up for it. This is great for couples, or those on a relaxing holiday with friends.

Another exquisite beach! This beach even has healing properties, so not only can you take in the rays, but also enjoy the therapeutic and relaxing properties of the sea. It is a small bay, set between cliffs with turquoise water. The natural mix of sulphur and collagen spring water mixes with the seawater, which is great for anyone with rheumatism, arthritis, and skin conditions.

Perfect for some quiet time, this beach is located north of Zakynthos Town, next to Tsilivi beach. This is a small but also unspoilt beach. Tsilivi beach is also quite a popular beach to visit; it’s great for families but also attracts the younger tourists, due to the clubs nearby.

This is the perfect place for those looking for a lively location with great beaches. It is the most popular resort on Zante. You can even get boats from Laganas out to the turtle shaped island of Marathonisi, which is covered in pine and oak trees and has some incredible caves to explore.

This up and coming Greek island, with its lively nightlife and gorgeous beaches, has usurped Faliraki as the top destination for young British tourists. With resorts tailored for every type of tourist and visitor to the island, there really is something for everyone.
