Playa Las Perlas
1Situated opposite the Isla Mujeres municipality, this beach is an exotic getaway featuring an extraordinary range of restaurants and bars which are found dotted around the beach area. The beach sits by a major hotel zone which makes it incredibly popular and a usual first stop for tourists, also thanks to the abundance of water sports and activities on offer.
Playa Linda
2The prominent feature of this beach is a dock which serves as a hub for boating tours and, perhaps more interestingly, submarine tours offered to tourists. The novelty of travelling across to the Isla Mujeres by submarine adds extra incentive to a visit alongside the lavish sands and clear, cool waters. The beach is close to downtown Cancun and therefore features sufficient amenities for its guests.
Playa Caracol
3Playa Caracol caters specifically to families and is ideal for the children. The sandy banks are very shallow and so younger members can play out in the sea without ever going too deep, remaining under the watchful eye of their guardians. This is a popular destination and gets very crowded, though remains largely unspoiled. Again, it’s close to enough restaurants and bars to appease all visitors.
Playa Delfines
4Guests are able to perch themselves on the lookout (El Mirador) that overhangs the beach before descending onto its peaceful shores. Its sandy dunes boast impressive Caribbean qualities and the various shades of blue streaking out across the ocean are attractive, pulling in many guests each year. It lacks the facilities available at other beaches, but focuses more on peace and relaxation for callers.
Playa Tortugas
5This beach features the best of both worlds, with dock tours to Isla Mujeres as well as excellent swimming opportunities and water activities. For more adventurous guests, there are snorkelling tours around the reefs as well as the option to go diving in its clear waters. It can be found next to a variety of restaurants and refreshment bars offering a peaceful yet fun getaway.
