Engagement Party: Lake Tahoe Celebrations

This past week has been a crazy whirlwind of events and I have been awful about keeping track of everything between the rendezvous, plane rides, and evenings out. After Scott popped the question last week in Tahoe, both of our families jetted up to Lake Tahoe to help us celebrate the occasion. We had a couple of days of bonding, hammering out details and generally loving life.

Naturally, I’ve been finding ways to showcase my left ring finger; a trait that I generally find pretty obnoxious. I’m going to try not to be that person — the girl who manages to do everything with her left hand (e.g. sipping cocktails, covering one’s face, reaching for things, etc.) despite the fact that she’s actually right-handed. I had to get a couple of pictures, though. For posterity, of course.

Fam!

Celebratory Dinner. :)

One big surprise for me during this Tahoe excursion (aside from the obvious): the weather. Though I can’t be sure whether I was just being naive or if I was being an optimist, my wardrobe consisted primarily of shorts, rompers, and bathings suits with a couple of long-sleeved items peppered in. Imagine my surprise when our view looked like this:

Snowy Tahoe

Generally, an amazing and memorable weekend and if anything, the snow added to the atmosphere. Check back soon as I recap our incredible (snowless) trip to San Antonio!

xoxo,
